Where practicalities start
9×12 is the size at which handling becomes a real consideration.
Weight. A hand-knotted wool 9×12 is typically 25–45kg dry, and considerably more wet. Moving it is a two-person job.
Delivery. It rolls into a tube roughly three metres long that does not bend. Measure the route from the street to the room — stairwells and lift cars are where this fails.
